Matt Forte makes NFL history in Week 7 with Jets

The New York Jets finally ended their four-game losing streak with a win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7. Running back Matt Forte even made NFL history straight to victory.
When they needed it most, the New York Jets did just enough to leave their Week 7 matchup victorious. They beat the Baltimore Ravens 24-16 but still have a long way to go in order for them to make 2016 a memorable year. Regardless, not everything is always negative, especially following a much-needed victory.
Running back Matt Forte returned to form on Sunday against the Ravens. He ended his efforts by totaling 100 yards, 30 attempts, and finally scored his first touchdown since Week 2.
As a receiving option, Forte totaled 54 receiving yards on four receptions. Forte caught every pass coming his way which helped keep those chains moving.
Once the final whistle blew, Forte became the seventh player in NFL history to total over 9,000 rushing yards and 500 career receptions in his career. Forte is also just the sixth player in league history to record over 9,000 yards rushing, 4,000 yards receiving, and 500 receptions.

Overall, it’ll be interesting to see how the course of the season goes for the “workhorse” that is known as Forte. As always, it’s best to take games one week at a time this year. Do your best to remain positive and hope the Jets can muster something to salvage what’s left of a miserable season.
