Mangold should play against Dolphins

New York Jets center Nick Mangold is listed as questionable but is expected to play in the team's game against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.

Mangold missed two games with a high right ankle sprain before returning last Sunday at New England. He was limited in practice Saturday, as he was Friday.

Defensive lineman Ropati Pitoitua (knee) and defensive backs Donald Strickland (concussion) and Isaiah Trufant (hamstring) were all ruled out for the game. Strickland was limited in practice all week but hoped to play, while Pitoitua and Trufant have been sidelined since being injured against the Patriots.

Pitoitua's absence could give rookie defensive lineman Kenrick Ellis, the team's third-round draft pick, the opportunity to make his NFL debut after being inactive the first five games.
