The Jets’ season may have dodged another big blow during Monday night’s showdown against the Houston Texans.
Starting center Nick Mangold was carted off with an ankle injury in the first half, but returned with two seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Mangold, who was able to gingerly walk off the field under his own power, was replaced by left guard Matt Slauson.
2010 second-round pick Vladimir Ducasse was inserted at left guard for Slauson.

The Jets have been ravaged with injuries ever since cornerback Darrelle Revis tore his ACL in Week 3. Wide receiver Santonio Holmes was placed on the injured reserve this past week with a Lisfranc fracture.
