Man admits to hacking Super Bowl telecast

An Arizona man has admitted in court that he interrupted a Tucson-area telecast of the 2009 Super Bowl with a 37-second pornographic video clip.
Pima County prosecutors said Frank Tanori Gonzalez, 39, of Tucson pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of computer tampering. He is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 1.
As part of a plea agreement, Gonzalez must pay a $1,000 fine and serve three years of probation. The crime will be designated a misdemeanor rather than a felony if he successfully completes probation.
Authorities said Gonzalez interrupted the Tucson-area Comcast cable broadcast of the game between the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. At the time, authorities said, Gonzalez was a Cox Communications employee working as a liaison with Comcast.
After the incident, Comcast offered $10 credits to all 80,000 subscribers.
