Updated Mar. 4, 2020 3:01 p.m. ET

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) The Detroit Lions have relieved Sheldon White of his duties, according to a report on the team's website.

White was the interim general manager after the Lions fired Martin Mayhew in the middle of the season. He was Detroit's vice president of pro personnel before that.

The Lions hired Bob Quinn as their new general manager last month.

Detroit announced Thursday night that it has hired Josh Schuler as assistant strength and conditioning coach.
