Lions SS Spievey and Jets DE Gholston in lineup

The Detroit Lions are leaning on rookie strong safety Amari Spievey to replace C.C. Brown against the New York Jets.

Brown is inactive Sunday with a knee injury.

Jets coach Rex Ryan is starting defensive end Vernon Gholston in place of Mike Devito, likely hoping the opportunity in his hometown would help him get a sack for the first time in his three-year career.
