The Detroit Lions have something to be thankful for: They have sold out their Thanksgiving game against the New England Patriots.
The team says the last time it had a sellout seven days before a game was back in 2007, when the holiday showcase was against the Green Bay Packers.
The sellout means next week's game against the Patriots will be televised in the Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw-Flint and Toledo, Ohio, markets.
The Lions have sold out four of their first five games this season. They're playing on the road Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys in a matchup of teams with 2-7 records.
