Lions CB Slay went more than six quarters without giving up a catch

NFL quarterbacks are having trouble completing passes when Darius Slay is in coverage. The 24-year-old Detroit Lions cornerback is developing into one of the league's best young players at his position.
Slay went more than six quarters without giving up a reception before letting Derek Carr complete a pass to Michael Crabtree in the third quarter of Detroit's matchup with the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, according to ESPN's Michael Rothstein.

In a Week 10 win over the Green Bay Packers, Slay did not allow Aaron Rodgers to complete a single pass to James Jones. Although his streak of stifling pass defense came to an end against the Raiders on Sunday, the third-year cornerback's impact will continue to grow in Detroit's secondary.
