Redskins tight end Jordan Reed left Thursday’s game against the Cowboys with a left shouder injury and is questionable to return, the team announced.

Reed was running in the back of the end zone early in the second quarter on a 3rd down play when he reached back to try for a high pass from Kirk Cousins and was hit viciously from the back. He fell hard on his left shoulder and had to be helped off the field.

FOX reported that while being examined on the sideline, Reed was wincing in pain as doctors put pressure on the shoulder. He went to the locker room.

Reed, who entered as one of Washington’s top targets, did not catch a pass before leaving. At the time, the Cowboys led, 7–0, before a field goal on the next play made it 7–3.
