John Morton says he'll do 'whatever it takes' to get young WRs ready
The New Orleans Saints traded away both Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills, meaning that the team was left with the veteran option in Marques Colston, second-year receiver Brandin Cooks and quite a few players with intriguing upside.
For new wide receivers coach John Morton, he's ready to step up to the challenge and help mold these young players, according to Nick Underhill of The Advocate. When responding to questions about a lack of leadership from the group, he had the following to say.
“People say you don’t have leaders on this team,” Morton told The Advocate. “What’s the coach? I’m the leader. I’m there to help them and put them in the best position. I’ll do whatever it takes to get them ready to play.”
With Graham and Stills now gone, it's going to be up to the likes of Cooks, Brandon Coleman, Nick Toon and Seantavius Jones to take the next step. Now the question becomes, which of those players will take that big step in 2015?
