Jim Tomsula: RB Kendall Hunter is 'coming along great'
San Francisco 49ers running back Kendall Hunter is recovering from a torn ACL that forced him to miss all of last season. He is now back at OTAs with the 49ers and progressing nicely.
Head Coach Jim Tomsula spoke to reporters and is encouraged by all the progress Hunter is making.
"Kendall, he's coming along great," Tomsula said. "I think we all have strong feelings for Kendall. He is, you see him out there moving. He's moving around great. But we definitely have a rep count on him. There's a rep count on all of those guys. You've got to keep him corralled. But he's moving around really quick."
Hunter figures to play a big role this year as he'll be part of a running back group featuring Reggie Bush and Carlos Hyde. Two years ago, backing up Frank Gore, Hunter rushed for 358 yard and three touchdowns.
