NEW YORK (AP) The New York Jets have cut 18 players, including fullback Tommy Bohanon, linebacker Trevor Reilly and wide receivers Jeremy Ross and Kenbrell Thompkins.

The team announced Saturday it has its roster down to 56 players, including defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson being moved to reserve/suspended to begin serving his one-game ban for violating the league's personal conduct policy last summer.

New York needs to make three additional moves by 4 p.m. EDT to reach the NFL's mandatory limit.

The Jets currently have all four quarterbacks - Ryan Fitzpatrick, Geno Smith, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg - on their roster.

Bohanon, a seventh-round pick in 2013, was a bit of a surprise. He had 20 carries for 67 yards and 17 catches for 155 yards in his three seasons.
