Jaguars' Yarno leaves to begin cancer treatment
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line coach George Yarno, who was diagnosed with cancer last month, has left the team to begin treatment.
Yarno returned home to be with his family in Spokane, Washington, while he undergoes treatment.
Coach Gus Bradley says Yarno ''has a good attitude on the whole treatment process. He decided to go back home after conversation and get the treatment and spend time with his family.''
Yarno will miss this week's mandatory, three-day minicamp. It's unclear whether Yarno will be back for training camp next month. Bradley says: ''We will just wait to see how he handles the treatment.''
Assistant O-line coach Luke Butkus is filling in during Yarno's absence.
