Jaguars agree to terms with Jets CB Drew Coleman

The Jacksonville Jaguars have added another defender, agreeing to a three-year contract with free agent cornerback Drew Coleman.

The deal reached Friday could be worth as much as $7.4 million and gives the Jaguars their fourth defensive addition of the week. Coleman mostly played nickel back the last six years with the New York Jets and should have the same role in Jacksonville.

The Jaguars start Rashean Mathis and Derek Cox at cornerback.

Jacksonville has revamped its defense in a matter of days, signing linebackers Paul Posluszny and Clint Session and agreeing to terms with safety Dawan Landry. Together, they could help the Jaguars turn around a unit that ranked 28th in the league last season and allowed a franchise record 419 points.
