Jacksonville Jaguars vs. San Diego Chargers: Preview, TV Coverage and Streams

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a tough task today as they try to win a west coast game for the first time in the Gus Bradley era.

The Jaguars are in an all too familiar 0-1 hole in week 2 and they are facing an intimidating opponent as they try to right the ship.

Philip Rivers is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL but he has a particular knack for putting together outstanding performances against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Over the last 3 years, Rivers has done whatever he’s wanted to a helpless Jacksonville defense. Even when his best receivers have been out, Rivers has shredded a usually suspect Jacksonville secondary.

Things might be different this year as the Jaguars boast a vastly improved defense, even without the services of Prince Amukamara. Even so, the Jaguars are going to need some strong production from the offense, particularly Allen Robinson. Squaring off against one of the better young corners in the league, Robinson is trying to shake off a less than stellar week one performance. T.J. Yeldon has to carry the load again with Chris Ivory on the bench, so Blake Bortles is likely looking at plenty of work through the air.
