Inactives players for both the Oakland Raiders and New Orleans Saints in their Week 1 matchup.
The regular season is finally here, so even though this is just a simple inactive players article, it’s exciting nonetheless.
NFL teams are only allowed to dress 46 players for games. For a league so concerned with player safety, allowing less players to substitute in seems counterproductive, but that’s a debate for another day.
For the Raiders, the following players will be listed as out:
QB Connor Cook, CB Dexter McDonald, CB Antonio Hamilton, G Vadal Alexander, T Austin Howard, TE Mychal Rivera.
The Saints have not yet released their inactives, but rookie WR Michael Thomas will play despite being limited in practice.
Terron Armstead is the player to pay close attention to. He also has been limited in practice, and while he is expected to play, it would be a huge blow to the offensive line if he is unable to.
