Oakland Raiders offensive tackle Mario Henderson was charged by Florida police Thursday with carrying a concealed firearm in his car without a permit, NBC affiliate WBBH-TV reported.
Police said the 26-year-old was arrested after a traffic stop in downtown Fort Myers early Thursday morning.
Officers found a gun between the driver's seat and the center console of Henderson's black Impala, police said.
He reportedly does not have a concealed firearm permit.
Henderson also was cited for failing to wear a seat belt and given a city ordinance violation for playing his car stereo too loud.
He was further given a verbal warning for tinted windows that appeared to be darker than the legal limit.
The 6-foot-7, 300-pound NFL player was drafted in 2007 after playing at Florida State University.
