While it seemed that starting quarterback Marc Bulger would be a question mark for their next game because of a head injury, it is a different, surprising injury that will sideline him.

Bulger is expected to miss anywhere from three weeks to as much as the rest of the season with a fracture in his lower leg, FOXSports.com has learned.

It was believed that Bulger's next start would be in jeopardy by an apparent head injury that seemed to take place on the team's final possession in Sunday's loss to Arizona. Bulger got dinged on a sack by Darnell Dockett. He's fighting groin injury as well. But it was the leg injury that ended up being the biggest problem, and tests Monday revealed what the Rams hoped would not be the case.

Kyle Boller will start in his place.

It is unclear if the team will place Bulger on injured reserve.
