Giants take CB Amukamara with 19th pick of Round 1

The New York Giants have selected Nebraska cornerback Prince Amukamara with the 19th pick of the NFL draft.

While the Giants had bigger needs on the offensive and defensive lines, they went with value when the Big 12 defensive player of the year was still available.

New York will return starting cornerbacks Corey Webster and Terrell Thomas but the addition of Amukamara gives them depth. The Giants went 10-6 last season.
