Giants RB Shane Vereen out for season with triceps injury

New York Giants running back Shane Vereen will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a triceps injury that will require surgery, the team announced.
Vereen is part of the Giants' running back rotation that includes Rashad Jennings, who has been nursing a thumb injury. Jennings has 102 yards on 31 carries on the season.
Vereen finished Sunday's loss to the Redskins with six carries for 38 yards and three receptions for 23 yards. He has 31 carries on the year for 147 yards and one touchdown.

Orleans Darkwa, Bobby Rainey and Paul Perkins are the other running backs on the depth chart.
