Giants lineman pleads guilty to DUI

Published Feb. 12, 2013 12:00 a.m. ET

New York Giants offensive lineman David Diehl has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol. He's been ordered to undergo court-ordered treatment.

The 32-year-old left tackle admitted Monday he crashed his BMW in Queens in June 2012 after watching a soccer game at a bar. A breath test showed his blood alcohol content was more than double the legal limit.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Under his agreement, he was released and must continue in the NFL substance abuse treatment program and complete a second program. He'll also wear a monitoring bracelet and cannot drive. If he completes the requirement, the top charge will be dismissed and he will not get prison time.
