Giants LB tweets Super Bowl ring photos

A Big Blue benchwarmer jumped off sides, prematurely flashing pictures of what he and his Giants teammates may soon be wearing for their Super Bowl XLVI win.

Linebacker Clint Sintim, who missed the entire season on injured reserve, risked going on permanent reserve after he tweeted images of the Super Bowl ring Thursday.

The ring's design is supposed to be a secret until a May 16 gala at Tiffany's.

Sintim, a second-round 2009 pick from Virginia, posted the picture with the caption "sneak preview!"

He later sheepishly removed it, tweeting, "Saw the ring online not official yet ... official release will be presented by Giants organization ... Sorry."

The ring in Sintim's picture is predominantly silver with big blue chips around the crown. It also has four footballs across the top.

Teammate Justin Tuck weighed in on Twitter, saying, "People, I don't know who started the post of the ring. But we haven't decided on the final ring yet."

Asked if Sintim's picture was the winning ring design, Giants vice president Pat Hanlon would say only that he believes the bling is still being drawn up by a jeweler.
