Garrett expected to be named coach

The Dallas Cowboys have scheduled a news conference Thursday, and it’s presumed they will announce that interim head coach Jason Garrett will take over in a permanent basis.

Garrett, 44, had been Dallas’ offensive coordinator since January of 2007. He took over the head coaching position on an interim basis from Wade Phillips in November of 2010.
