Former NFL player sent back to Pa. halfway house

A former NFL offensive lineman serving time in a northeastern Pennsylvania corruption case has been sent back to a halfway house.

Greg Skrepenak (skreh-PAN'-ik) was sentenced in 2010 to two years in federal prison for taking a $5,000 bribe from a developer while he was a Luzerne County commissioner.

Newspapers reported this week he was on home confinement, living in his parents' home and working for a law firm.

On Thursday, federal Bureau of Prisons spokesman Chris Burke said Skrepenak had been moved back to a halfway house in Scranton. He declined to say why but said inmates can be moved from home confinement to a halfway house for a number of reasons, including disciplinary violations or disobeying program guidelines.

Skrepenak's attorney says he isn't aware of any violation.
