The Dallas Cowboys came away of their most impressive victory of the young regular season on Sunday, handily defeating the Green Bay Packers at home on Lambeau Field 30-16. The outcome extended the Cowboys winning streak to five games and should finally give this Dallas squad the national respect they deserve.

Looking back on Sunday’s victory, we believe there are five players that are worth honoring for their stellar performances. Here is our ranking of the top Dallas Cowboys players who certainly earned their Stars against the Packers in Week Six.

DAK PRESCOTT, QB

STATS VS PACKERS, 18/27, 247 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INTs

Prescott continues to impress.

Although the rookie struggled at times during Sunday’s contest in Lambeau Field, Dak was solid when it counted.

Posting 247 yards and three touchdowns, the 23-year old passer still completed 66.7% of his throws.

More importantly, Prescott didn’t allow his mistakes to pester his play.

After the Cowboys 2016 fourth round pick fumbled twice and the offense went three-and-out on it’s previous drive, Prescott was able to led Dallas down the field and score a touchdown with only one minute left on the clock to end the first half.

That score and Dak’s composure gave the Cowboys a 17-6 led going into halftime. And Dallas never looked back.

What Prescott brings to the huddle, to the team, to the franchise goes beyond the numbers. Dak gives them all hope.

And what’s that worth? Simply a 5-1 record.

EZEKIEL ELLIOTT, RB

STATS VS PACKERS, 28 carries, 157 yards, 2 recs, 17 yards

Facing the league’s best rushing defense, Elliott was supposed to get stonewalled.

Facing a Packers front seven that had limited four other teams to a total of 171 rushing yards in four games, what chance did Zeke have?

Well, on Sunday the Cowboys proved the Green Bay Packers defense simply hadn’t seen anything like Elliott and Dallas’ dominate offensive line yet this year.

Racking up 157 rushing yards on 28 carries, the 2016 NFL Draft’s fourth overall pick posted a career-high on the ground against the touted Packers’ defense.

Elliott has now rushed for 134 yards or more in each of his last four games.

And Zeke is still the NFL rushing leader with 703 yards in six games.

That’s a whopping 85 yards more than the runner-up, former Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray, who is now in Tennessee.

DAVID IRVING, DT

STATS VS PACKERS, 4 Total Tackles, 1.0 Sack, 3 Forced Fumbles

This offseason, the Cowboys decided to move Irving back to defensive end as they needed help filling the voids left by DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory due to their drug-related suspensions.

After initially make some noise at the position early in the offseason, Irving has been all but silent so far this season after dealing with a groin injury.

Recently, the Cowboys decided to move the lanky player back inside. And against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday that move paid off.

Irving finished the game recording four total tackles, a sack and an amazing three forced fumbles.

It was a shocking performance in an area of tremendous need for the Cowboys.

If Irving can continue to be a disruptive force in the interior of the line, this Dallas defense will certainly improve.

BARRY CHURCH. SS

STATS VS PACKERS, 5 Total Tackles, 1 INT, 1 PD, 1 Forced Fumble

But Church has arguably been the Dallas Defensive MVP through the first six weeks of the regular season.

Posting his jersey number in tackles, 42 (32 solo), Church has been a stalwart in the Cowboys secondary for years.

This season, the 28-year old has added playmaker to his resume.

Against the Washington Redskins in Week Two, Church had an interception in the end zone that helped secure the victory for Dallas.

On Sunday versus the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau, the seventh-year safety grabbed another interception, this time from All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Church also caused Packers’ wide receiver Jordy Nelson to fumble the ball late in the first quarter, which the Cowboys recovered.

The Cowboys moving their 2015 first round pick, defensive back Byron Jones, to free safety this season seems to have helped Church to play closer to the line of scrimmage. And the dividends are paying off huge for this Dallas squad right now.

COLE BEASLEY, WR

STATS VS PACKERS, 6 Recs, 58 Yards, 2 TDs

And Romo’s three back-ups all struggled to get the 5-8, 175 pound dynamo consistently involved in what was a truly stagnate offense. Despite those obstacles, Beasley still managed to finish last season with a career-high 52 receptions for 536 yards and five touchdowns.

Having yet another outstanding training camp this year, Cole was again on pace to have a breakout season. Then, Romo injures his back in the team’s meaningless third preseason game. Here we go again, right? Wrong.

With rookie Dak Prescott under center, the fifth-year receiver has flourished. Through six games, Beasley has recorded 33 catches for 390 yards and posted three scores.

Against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Cole likely had his best game of the season recording six receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns.

Prescott claims Beasley is always open. And the two are starting to become quite the dynamic duo on the field. And because of that, the “Bease” has finally arrived.

So, those are our selections for the top five Dallas Cowboys players that earned their Stars in the victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week Six. Who did we miss? Which five players are in your Top Five? Tell us in the comment section below.
