Ezekiel Ansah aims to make himself an 'unstoppable' edge-rusher

Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah is one of few bright spots on a poor Detroit Lions team. He currently ranks fourth on the NFL leader board for sacks with seven, as the former fifth-overall draft pick is putting together his finest season as a pro.

And there's still room to grow. Ansah said the next step for him is to become "unstoppable," according to ESPN's Michael Rothstein.

"I just got to make sure that I’m unstoppable," Ansah said, per ESPN. "I just got to find a way where tackles are unable to stop me from getting to the quarterback. That is where the next thing is."

After a couple seasons of getting his feet wet in the NFL, Ansah is breaking out in 2015. The 26-year-old edge-defender is on pace to record his first double-digit-sack season. With All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh no longer in the mix, he has done a fine job stepping in as Detroit's most disruptive player on defense.

The Lions might be inclined to blow everything up after this year, but Ansah's play is something they should try to preserve. He deserves minimal blame for the team's 1-7 start this season.
