Ekpre-Olomu waived injured by Dolphins

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) Defensive back Ifo Ekpre-Olomu has been waived injured by the Miami Dolphins after struggling to return from a serious knee injury.

Miami signed cornerback Al Louis-Jean, who played nine games for the Chicago Bears in 2014. Louis-Jean spent a week on the Washington Redskins' practice squad during the 2015 postseason and was waived in May.

Ekpre-Olomu was projected to be a first-round draft pick before he hurt his left knee as a senior with Oregon. He was taken in the seventh round by Cleveland a year ago, spent 2015 rehabilitating and was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins in April after the Browns released him.
