Eagles trying to trade Marcus Smith for another duck?
By Tim Weaver
If we have learned anything about Chip Kelly since he took over as the personnel boss for the Philadelphia Eagles, it’s that he’s willing to part with any player on the roster.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a franchise quarterback, one of the best running backs in the NFL, an All-Pro center, or a draft bust, everybody can be moved.
Now it sounds like another Eagle is on the trading block.
According to a report by Mark Eckel of NJ.com, the Eagles may be trying to move Marcus Smith to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Dion Jordan, who got an excellent education at the University of Oregon:
“…the Eagles could be looking to move last year’s No. 1 pick, Marcus Smith… One scenario could have Smith perhaps going to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for linebacker Dion Jordan, with some picks, or other players, involved as well…”
You can read the full report here.
Both Jordan and Smith have been relative disappointments for their respective teams. A change of scenery may do both good. More wild trade rumors and draft speculation to come.
