Eagles' defensive coordinator Bill Davis takes blame for loss

The Philadelphia Eagles' defense allowed 521 yards of offense during the team's 45-17 Week 11 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and after the game, defensive coordinator Bill Davis pinned the blame on himself.
"We didn't do anything well today, starting with coaching," Davis said. "A game like this that comes out of nowhere and is that bad for us defensively, it starts with me. It's on me. But there's enough blame to go around for everybody.
A game like this will shake your confidence. And that's our biggest enemy right now. We have to make sure it doesn't destroy us. We have to make sure this thing gets fixed. That's the challenge right now. Make sure this is a one-game thing."
Davis has been under fire before during his tenure as coordinator. In 2014, his pass defense was among the worst in the NFL, prompting a major makeover this past offseason. After stretches of strong play, the defense has taken a step back in recent weeks.
