San Francisco 49ers starting running back Shaun Draughn was knocked out of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a knee injury.

Draughn was hurt in the final minute of the opening quarter after rushing for 38 yards on nine carries, continuing a string of injuries that has ravaged San Francisco's backfield.

It was the sixth start of the season for Draughn, who was signed by the 49ers after backup running backs Reggie Bush and rookie Mike Davis were injured in a 27-6 loss at St. Louis on Nov. 1.

Draughn, who was released by the Cleveland Browns in October, rushed for 263 yards in his five-plus games with San Francisco. He also had 25 receptions. Travaris Cadet and Kendall Gaskins replaced Draughn and combined for 10 receptions for 84 yards.

Starter Carlos Hyde, sidelined since Oct. 22 with a stress fracture in his foot, was placed on injured reserve on Dec. 12. He was the first of nine different running backs to be utilized by San Francisco this season.
