Dolphins left tackle Albert says he expects to start opener

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) Miami Dolphins left tackle Branden Albert says he expects to start the season opener Sunday at Washington, completing his comeback from reconstructive knee surgery.

Albert, who has been lining up with the first team this week, said at practice Wednesday he expects that to continue. He returned to practice full time Aug. 25 but didn't play in any of Miami's exhibition games.

Albert was sidelined in Week 10 last season with a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee. His return lends stability to an offensive line that is the Dolphins' most worrisome area.

Rookie Jamil Douglas is expected to start Sunday at right guard, and left guard Dallas Thomas is also unproven.

The last unsettled spot on defense was cornerback, where Brice McCain is expected to start.
