Dolphins CB Brice McCain: 'We're tired of losing'

Published Nov. 16, 2015 5:04 p.m. ET

The Miami Dolphins may have saved their season with a very important 20-19 win over the Eagles on Sunday. The victory quietly moved the Dolphins to 4-5, keeping them within one game of a potential Wild Card playoff berth.

The magnitude of the win can't be understated inside the locker room and out, but cornerback Brice McCain offered a hint at just how big it was for the Dolphins' chances of salvaging what seemed to be a lost season.

“It’s huge because who wants to be 3-6?” McCain said after the game, via Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. “To be 4-5 is being treated as just another win because we’re taking it step by step.

“But I think this win was very big because we’re tired of losing. We’re just tired of losing as a team."

The Dolphins kept pace with the Bills this week, who knocked off the Jets on Thursday night. The division crown may be out of reach, but a playoff spot isn't out of the question. An upcoming date with the Jets in two weeks looms large as it could have serious postseason implications in the AFC if both teams win this week.

Dan Campbell has changed the Dolphins' losing ways, and he'll look to continue that trend against his former team -- and teammates -- this week against the Cowboys.
