Two AFC playoff contenders meet when the 6-5 Baltimore Ravens host the 7-4 Miami Dolphins at M&T Bank Stadium in Week 13. Here are the highlights and key players from Sunday’s game.

The Baltimore Ravens have been winning with defense this season. Specifically, a marauding and powerful D-line. Similarly, the Miami Dolphins turned their season around by leaning on a physically dominant offensive line. Something is sure to give when these two fronts collide at M&T Bank Stadium this Sunday.

The Ravens know they will have to shut down Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi. He’s been gashing defenses at will behind stellar blocking. But more yards won’t be easy to come by in Baltimore. Not with house-sized nose tackle Brandon Williams plugging the middle.

Williams could dominate against a Dolphins line with injury issues. Rookie guard Laremy Tunsil, the player the Ravens passed over to select Ronnie Stanley sixth overall in the 2016 NFL draft is one of them. Tunsil says he’ll play, per Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald. But Beasley also noted how left tackle Branden Albert has been limited in practice, while center Mike Pouncey is as good as ruled out.

Other notable injury news concerns Dolphins include wide receiver DeVante Parker. The second-year man has caught 16 passes for 246 yards in his last three games. However, the Dolphins are preparing to play without the wideout who has missed two practice sessions with a hamstring problem, per Omar Kelly of the Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Parker’s potential absence is good news for a Ravens secondary set to welcome back top cornerback Jimmy Smith, according to Michael Kaskey-Blomain of CBS Sports. Without Parker to worry about, the Ravens can focus on shutting out receiver Jarvis Landry and taking away Ajayi.

Here’s a prediction for which players will thrive this week.

1. Brandon Williams

No Pouncey at the heart of Miami’s O-line means Williams can boss the trenches. The ex-Alabama stalwart is a massive figure who always puts blockers on skates.

Williams is a double-team magnet who will keep inside linebackers C.J. Mosley and Zach Orr clean. They’ll be free to chase down Ajayi.

2. Ndamukong Suh

The Ravens have had a ton of their own issues along the offensive line this season. Both tackle spots have been weak, while center Jeremy Zuttah has struggled.

It’s bad news for a group preparing to face Ndamukong Suh. He’s been getting back to his All-Pro best after a disappointing first year in Miami.

A key to the turnaround has been the creative scheming of new defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. He’s been moving Suh around to create favorable matchups and confuse blocking schemes, per USA Today: “Along with his normal left tackle position, he lined up at right end and even middle linebacker against the 49ers.”

Suh can cause havoc this week whenever Joseph lets him target any of Baltimore’s multiple suspect blockers.

3. Mike Wallace

The Dolphins won’t want Mike Wallace to have a big day. Not after he flopped as a big-money free agent in Miami, then didn’t exactly show any remorse.

Yet Wallace still has the skills to undermine a Dolphins pass D’ vulnerable after the catch. In fact, the Dolphins have surrendered 1,297 yards after the catch this season, 17th in the league, per Sporting Charts.

The same source also details how Wallace has made 348 of his 792 total receiving yards after the catch. He hasn’t lost his game-breaking speed, even at 30.

Expect a motivated Wallace to prove his detractors on the Dolphins’ sideline wrong.

The Dolphins will host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 14, before the Ravens face the New England Patriots on the road on Monday night.
