Dez Bryant is back on the practice field for the Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was back on the practice field Wednesday for the first time since the team discovered after a Week 3 win against the Bears that he had a hairline fracture in his right leg.
Bryant was expected to take part in individual drills, according to ESPN.com, and looked fine in the early part of those workouts.
Bryant had only 11 catches for 150 yards and one touchdown through three games, then missed the Cowboys’ victories against the 49ers and Bengals. Next up for Dallas is a Sunday game (4:25 ET, FOX) against the Green Bay Packers that will be the toughest test of the season for a Cowboys team that is 4-1 and thriving despite the absence of Bryant and quarterback Tony Romo (back).
The Cowboys were 4-12 last season when those two players missed much of the year. Bryant topped 1,200 receiving yards in each season from 2012 to 2014 but had only 31 catches for 401 yards in nine games a year ago.
