Despite turnovers, Philadelphia Eagles take down unbeaten Vikings

The Philadelphia Eagles just beat arguably the best team in the NFL.
Yo, the Philadelphia Eagles.
It wasn’t pretty. As a matter of fact, it was one of the ugliest sporting events I’ve witnessed in my 23 years of being an existing life form. But the Eagles managed to knock off the undefeated Minnesota Vikings in a turnover-filled thriller.
The game’s first quarter was sloppy to say the least. Five turnovers between both teams made points hard to come by. But that all changed in the second quarter when both teams registered field goals and Josh Huff, who had an impressive day against the Vikings, returned a kickoff 98 yards for a score.

In the second half, it was all Philadelphia. Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense were finally able to find cracks in Minnesota’s armor and get some points on the board. It all started with a Wentz touchdown pass to Dorial Green-Beckham, which was DGB’s first score as an Eagle. After a Vikings player ran into Caleb Sturgis on the extra point attempt, the Eagles opted to go for a successful 2-point conversion thanks to Wentz using his legs to cross the pylon.
That would end up being the Eagles’ only offensive touchdown all day, but it was enough to get past the unbeaten Vikings 21-10.
For those wondering how former Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford performed, it wasn’t good. His same bad habits returned to Philadelphia with him; throwing short of the sticks on third downs, inconsistent ball placement, inability to avoid pressure. Bradford was sacked 6 times and took 19 hits on 45 dropbacks. It was a day Bradford won’t want to remember.
The Eagles will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys on Sunday night football in Week 8. Oh, baby.
