Denver Broncos Week 1 Injury Report: Monday

We take a look at the first injury report for the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers as both teams prepare for Thursday’s Opening Game.
Rejoice Broncos Country! Football season is almost here. The Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers play in the first game of the regular season.
It will be a rematch from last season’s Super Bowl 50 matchup. The Broncos won their third Lombardi Trophy by defeating the Carolina Panthers 24-10.
Both teams are looking to begin the 2016 NFL Season with a win and to bring them one step closer to a championship.
With that, we return with the injury report for both the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. I will show the injury report and give my takes on what each injury could do.

For the Denver Broncos, wide receiver Bennie Fowler and tight end Jeff Heuerman both sat out of practice today. Fowler is still dealing with the fractured elbow he suffered in the preseason opener against the Chicago Bears.

Hopefully he has a quick recovery and that we can see him on the field. If not this week, then the following week.
For Jeff Heuerman, he suffered a hamstring injury on August 17th, three days before the second preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers. Gary Kubiak is hopeful that he can go on Thursday.
It is a real shame that Heuerman missed so much time with the injury. He just recently recovered from his torn ACL he suffered last offseason.
The other Denver Broncos players that were injured did participate in practice, either limited or fully. Ty Sambrailo (elbow) and James Fernentz (knee) were limited. Both could be key in the depth of the offensive line.
Players that were full were Kapri Bibbs (quad), Max Garcia (groin), Demarcus Ware (back), Darrion Weems (concussion), and Billy Winn (back).
It is great to see Demarcus Ware back and participating. He is going to be a big part of the defense this season.
For the Carolina Panthers, the team had three players that were limited in practice. Vernon Butler (hand), AJ Klein (back), and Dean Marlowe (hamstring) practiced, but not much. Other than that, the Panthers are healthy.
Check back on Tuesday as we update the injury list here at Predominantly Orange.
