Del Rio: I think the Raiders can win the AFC West in 2015

Jack Del Rio has some lofty goals for his first season in charge of the Silver and Black.

“Goal No. 1 is to win our division,” the new Raiders head coach a group of business partners, sponsors, and suite holders. "And I don't see why not."

His optimism isn't reserved for financial backers, though. Del Rio has maintained his team will be far more competitive this season than in years past. With Derek Carr, Khalil Mack, and Amari Cooper on the roster, it's hard to argue that fact.

But an AFC West title might be asking too much of that young core. After all, the Raiders' last divisional crown came in 2002 -- the year Del Rio took his first coordinator job in the NFL.
