Dak Prescott dismisses notion that he should be looking over his shoulder

What a difference a game makes. Before the Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the New York Giants on Sunday, rookie quarterback Dak Prescott seemed like he could do no wrong.

Prescott had guided the Cowboys to 11 consecutive wins and the best record in the NFL. But it seems like everything has changed since Dallas fell to the Giants for the second time this season. He failed to throw for at least 200 yards for the third consecutive game and doubled his interception total for the season in the loss.

It led many to speculate that the Cowboys might turn to Tony Romo, who hasn’t played after missing the early part of the season due to a back injury and then losing his starting spot to Prescott.

Well, if Prescott is concerned, he’s not showing it. When asked if he’s looking over his shoulder after Sunday’s loss, the rookie didn’t appear to be worried.

"What am I looking over my shoulder for?” Prescott told reporters Wednesday. “I really just don't pay attention to [the noise]."

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett threw his full support behind Prescott on Monday.

"You can make it as simple or as complex as you want to make it," Garrett said. "It's pretty simple for us: Dak’s going to play quarterback as we go forward."

But will Garrett change his tune if Prescott continues to struggle?
