Jay Cutler lofted a 15-yard scoring pass to Kellen Davis, ending a six-quarter touchdown drought for Chicago, as the Bears took a 20-17 lead over the Philadelphia Eagles after three quarters Sunday night. Cutler, who entered the game with a league-high 17 interceptions, led the Bears on a 55-yard drive capped by his TD pass to Davis. Cutler then threw a 2-point conversion pass to Matt Forte to put the Bears up by three. The Bears' TD came three minutes after Donovan McNabb's 48-yard scoring pass to DeSean Jackson had put the Eagles ahead 17-12. Jackson got behind the Bears' secondary and beat safety Al Afalava. Robbie Gould earlier kicked a 49-yard field goal, his fourth of the game, to give the Bears a 12-10 lead. The Bears defense gave up 10 first-quarter points then shut down McNabb for nearly two quarters before his nicely thrown pass to Jackson lifted Philadelphia. Gould hit field goals of 45, 28 and 28 yards in the second quarter to pull the Bears within 10-9 at the half, and the Bears kept the pressure on. McNabb tossed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Jason Avant and David Akers kicked a 25-yard field goal as the Eagles took a 10-0 lead after one quarter. McNabb's TD throw to Avant capped a 76-yard drive that featured his 21-yard pass to Brent Celek and two penalties on the Bears - a 15-yarder for a facemask against McNabb and also an offside.
