The Dallas Cowboys enter the 2016 NFL regular season without their starting quarterback under center. After losing 36-year old veteran Tony Romo to a back injury three offensive plays into the Cowboys third preseason game, America’s Team will be forced to start a rookie quarterback against their divisional foes, the New York Giants in Sunday’s opener.

For the first time since the days of legendary quarterback Roger Staubach and running back Calvin Hill the Cowboys will be starting a rookie duo at those position in Week One of the regular season. First-year quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott appear to be ushering a youth movement in Dallas, as they’ll face a revamped Giants defense with new additions like free agent cornerback Janoris Jenkins and defensive end Olivier Vernon in AT&T Stadium on Sunday.
