Cowboys place WR Ogletree on IR with toe injury

Published Dec. 15, 2010 8:22 p.m. ET

The Dallas Cowboys have placed wide receiver and kick returner Kevin Ogletree on season-ending injured reserve with a toe injury.

The Cowboys made the move Wednesday, three days after Ogletree was injured in a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Ogletree had been expected to see more playing time because of the season-ending injury to wide receiver Dez Bryant.

He had three catches for 34 yards and six kick returns for 109 yards this season.

The Cowboys replaced him on the roster with wide receiver Manuel Johnson, a seventh-round pick out of Oklahoma in 2009. Johnson spent his rookie season and 2010 on the Cowboys' practice squad.
