Cowboys' dominant offensive line will test the Chargers
Mike McCoy likes setting the tone for physical play early on in the preseason.
He did it against the eventual Super Bowl champion Seahawks in his Chargers' coaching debut two seasons ago. He'll do it again against a Dallas Cowboys team that loved to push teams around last year up front.
The offensive line in Big D could be the best in professional football. It featured three 2014 Pro Bowlers and two All-Pros. It's preseason, but the Chargers are in for a fight.
"They have a great offensive line," defensive end Kendall Reyes told U-T San Diego. "They're big boys -- move well, good hands, good feet. It's definitely going to be a challenge. But we're excited about it."
McCoy couldn't ask for a better measuring stick game. His defense ranked near the bottom of the NFL in sacks and run defense.
The Chargers think they'll field a much better defense in 2015. In their first game, they'll be able to prove it.
