Colts vs. Jaguars in London: Odds, trends and more
The Indianapolis Colts are looking for a little revenge against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday when the teams meet overseas.
Last December, the Jacksonville Jaguars took out some frustrations against an Indianapolis Colts team that had beaten them six times in a row. The club rolled to a 51-16 victory and dominated the game in every aspect.
Unfortunately for Gus Bradley and company, they are indeed the squad that hasn’t recovered since. The Jaguars dropped their final three games in 2015 and have opened this season with three consecutive losses, the third time in four years this franchise has gotten off to such a start.
Jacksonville has also been a poor bet to date as well. According to The Gold Sheet, they’ve been underdogs in all three of their games this season. The Jaguars covered against the Green Bay Packers (27-23 loss but were a 4.5-point underdog), were rolled by the San Diego Chargers (38-14) and lost by two points at home to the Ravens (19-17) getting a point.

Now the Jaguars are a home underdog again (in their second home) to an Indianapolis team that has been less than sensational to date as well. The Colts rallied in the final two minutes last Sunday to beat the San Diego Chargers, 26-22, for their first win of the season. But this is an Indianapolis squad that has been far from sharp, to say the least.
Odds
Line: Colts (-2.5)
Over/Under: 49
Of course, keep in mind that Luck did not play in last season’s debacle at Jacksonville. Then again, would it have really made a difference? In that meeting, it was quarterbacks Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst for Chuck Pagano’s team, which gave up a defensive touchdown and a punt return for a score in the 35-point loss.
It’s been a disheartening start for two clubs that were supposed to be much better than a year ago for totally different reasons. It will be interesting to see which one of these teams can scratch out a win.
