INDIANAPOLIS (AP) Indianapolis has selected defensive end Henry Anderson of Stanford with their second pick in the third round of the NFL draft.

At 6-foot-6, 287 pounds, the Colts are hoping Anderson will help them put pressure on quarterbacks and help improve a run defense that struggled last season. He was taken 93rd overall.

Indy also selected 5-foot-10, 190-pound cornerback D'Joun Smith with the 65th overall pick. He is expected to help the Colts get younger and deeper while give the Colts another big hitter in run support.

Anderson had 65 tackles and 8 1/2 sacks last season and Colts officials are hoping he can be just as disruptive this fall.

Indy has six more picks on Saturday including the 10th pick of the fourth round.
