Colts place Collie on injured reserve

Published Dec. 22, 2010 12:00 a.m. ET

Indianapolis Colts WR Austin Collie suffered his third concussion of the season during last week’s victory over the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars. And because of that, the team has decided to place him on injured reserve.

To take his place on the 53-man roster, Colts owner Jim Irsay said via his Twitter account that the team has signed veteran S Ken Hamlin.

With Collie done for the rest of the season, undrafted rookie Blair White will handle the No. 3 wide receiver role. The Colts now have just four receivers on the active roster, but they do have rookie WR Chris Brooks on the practice squad.

In addition, a source said the Colts are expected to sign undrafted rookie CB Terrence Johnson to the practice squad.
