Chiefs workout former Oakland Raiders LB Miles Burris

The Kansas City Chiefs worked out former Oakland Raiders linebacker Miles Burris.
In Thursday night’s game between the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs, longtime KC linebacker Derrick Johnson ruptured his achilles. It’s an unfortunate injury to a player who has been a mainstay in the NFL for quite some time.
With Johnson out for the season, the Chiefs are looking to add some depth to the position. The search began via workouts of multiple players, including former Raiders linebacker Miles Burris.
#Chiefs worked out LBs Miles Burris, James Laurinaitis, Nate Irving, Jayson DiManche, Nick Moody, Jasper Brinkley.

Burris was a 4th round pick of the Raiders in 2012, and played three seasons with the team. He was a constant liability on defense, and there isn’t really any point in sugarcoating this — he was completely awful.
Burris did not play in the NFL in 2015 and so far hasn’t played in 2016, but still, Kansas City is taking a look. With some luck, maybe they’ll sign him.
Miles Burris is very good and you guys should sign him to a multi-year deal, @Chiefs. https://t.co/YwHW2b20i5
