Chiefs cuts tracker: Who is gone?
The Kansas City Chiefs have started the process of getting down to their final 53-man roster. Here are the moves so far…
As the Chiefs continue to whittle down from 75 players to 53, we will keep tabs right here. With each move, we will add some brief analysis and what it could mean for the position group of the player cut.
Here we go…
The #Chiefs have released OLB Andy Mulumba, a source confirmed to The Star.

With the release of Mulumba, general manager John Dorsey is saying he has faith in Dadi Nicolas to be alright after straining his neck. Mulumba played well on Thursday night, but could not finish on two easy sacks.
NEWS ALERT: Chiefs release QB Aaron Murray.

We all knew this was coming barring a trade. Murray was terrible on Thursday and generally underwhelming throughout the preseason. With Nick Foles on the team and Tyler Bray continuing to show a live arm, this was a matter of time.
The #Chiefs have released WR Da’Ron Brown, a source tells me.
— Terez A. Paylor (@TerezPaylor) September 2, 2016
Brown had no real chance of making the roster. He was going to be a practice squad guy at best, and could still be depending on other moves.
The #Chiefs have released OT Reid Fragel, a source tells me.
— Terez A. Paylor (@TerezPaylor) September 2, 2016
Again, Fragel never had a real shot of making these team. Dorsey should be looking early and often for a swing tackle.
The #Chiefs have released CB Deveron Carr, a source tells me.

Carr showed some promise in the second halves of the preseason games. Maybe he is someone the Chiefs like enough to put on the practice squad.
We will continue to update all the cuts right here!
