Chiefs cut a receiver, sign a familiar linebacker

Meanwhile, the Chiefs needed a healthy linebacker more than than they needed Drake. LBs Josh Mauga, DJ Alexander and Justin March are all injured, with healing 'backer James Michael-Johnson fresh off the injury list.

Davis spent time on the Chiefs last season. The SMU product has bounced around since entering the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted rookie.
