Chiefs couldn't use Dee Ford (back) after warm-ups mishap

Dee Ford might need to tweak his pre-game stretching routine.

That'll prevent the former first-round pick from tweaking his back, like he did on the field during warm-ups at Qualcomm Stadium. He was deactivated for the Week 11 game soon after.

It's unclear how serious the back injury is. But any amount of time lost is bad news for a team that wants to lessen starter Tamba Hali's load.

Hali might have to play more snaps if Ford misses significant time from here on out.
