The San Francisco 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 on Thursday Night Football. Niner Noise won’t have your in-game updates. But feel free to continue using the comments section for a live thread and message board.

The San Francisco 49ers will try to shake off the disappointment of a Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday. And the Niners will attempt to do so on Thursday Night Football against the visiting Arizona Cardinals.

    Game Information

The 49ers and Cardinals kick off at 8:25 p.m. ET Thursday from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

TNF will be featured on CBS Sports this week, but people wishing to live-stream the game can do so on Twitter by visiting tnf.twitter.com. Radio listeners should check their local programming.

    What to Watch For

Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer (concussion) is out for Thursday night, which means backup QB Drew Stanton will get the start. Quarterbacking problems derailed Arizona’s 2014 efforts, so will the same scenario repeat for a scuffling 1-3 Cardinals team?

San Francisco hasn’t exactly received stellar play from its own quarterback, Blaine Gabbert. He’ll be ready to go. But the Niners are without Jimmie Ward (quad) and DeForest Buckner (foot).

The 49ers defense is already reeling and won’t fare much better minus linebacker NaVorro Bowman, who is out for the season with an Achilles tear.

The last three weeks have been problematic for San Francisco’s run defense, and Bowman’s absence will hurt. Cardinals running back Davis Johnson will look to pick up right where Dallas Cowboys tailback Ezekiel Elliott left off last Sunday.

How well the Niners limit him will go a long way in determining the outcome.

And on the flip side, can the 49ers get their own offense going against an underperforming Arizona secondary?

These, and more, will be topics to watch as both teams look to pick up their second win of the 2016 season.

So be sure to chime in on the comments section throughout the game and let your voice be heard!
